My paintings usually come from particular landscape studies. The Rendlesham Forest work is informed by extensive walking in and around that Suffolk landmark and the sketches and photographs made along the way. Other ideas such as Mars, the god and the planet, and the curious flurry of UFO sightings near the local U.S. airbase in the early 1980s weave their way in too.
